Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) aim to prepare messengers of the Gospel, helping students to know God in depth. The goal is to form Christian character and establish Biblical relationships while developing a daily walk with God. This intensive Christian training course begins with an 4 month classroom phase followed by a typically 3 month outreach. The form of this school is different than our current five-month school. We are extending the school in 2009 to the seven-month school.

At YWAM Boston, our DTS will have a specific focus on Creative Arts in Worship. This means that we are looking for someone with a desire in these areas of interest:

• A desire to see people come to know Jesus

• A heart of worship

• Music

• Dance

• Theatre

• Visual Artist

• Photography

• Multi-media and Video Production

• "Tech"- lighting, sound, stage/set design

• Costume Design

Goals:

• Deepening your personal, daily walk with Jesus

• Identifying your unique, individual gifts and callings in God

• Personal character development

• Establishing biblical relationships (servant leadership, accountability, etc.)

Special Emphases:

• Using the Arts in worship and ministry to express our hearts to God, and His heart for His children

• Evangelism: mobilizing students to reach current and future generations

• Cross-cultural exposure and global awareness 

4 month classroom phase:

• Each week features a different speaker and subject

• Spiritual application and ministry teaching each morning

• Creative arts classes each afternoon

• Weekly community outreaches and worship nights

3 month outreach phase:

• Daily open air performances and one on one evangelism

• Semi-weekly community concerts of worship using the arts
