John hails from rural Western Pennsylvania. After asking Jesus into his heart at the tender age of six, he immediately realized his evangelistic call by preaching the gospel to his brother Ian, who was only three, and didn't quite get it. Ian accepted Christ a few years later at a Billy Graham crusade. John first attended Joshua Generation in 1999, where he learned to share his faith more effectively. In the fall of 2003 he enrolled in DTS at YWAM Pittsburgh, where he felt God calling him to be a missionary. After DTS John continued with YWAM Pittsburgh part time, staffing JG in the summers. At home he worked as a youth leader at his home church, and played saxophone on the worship team. John recently graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in Music Education and minored in Theater. Finally feeling a release from God to go into missions full time, he joined the team at YWAM Boston in 2007. John has a passion for seeing Christ's Kingdom advanced through the arts, and helping other believers realize their divine destiny and role in the Great Commission. He has a heart for the nations, and has been blessed to serve the Lord in half a dozen countries so far.
