Discipleship Training School (DTS) Application
We are trusting the Lord to bring students to YWAM Boston who are ready to have their hearts changed and their lives transformed. The DTS experience is so impacting. Our DTS schools are limited in size intentionally so the students can have the most impacting experience with the Lord. Each application is prayerfully considered. Because our schools are limited, it is important that we receive your application and fee as soon as possible.
All parts of the application must be received before admission will be considered. This includes all references. We will keep in contact with you during this process and you can email us at any time with any questions concerning your application or status of acceptance. We will notify applicants by mail and or email of their acceptance. We will also notify applicants if they are not accepted for the school as well.
Applications can be downloaded from this site. Please be thorough and honest in completing all sections. Applicants will be considered as their forms are received so send asap.
Deadline for application: We would like to have all applications as soon as possible. School size is limited to 20 students. We'd like to have all applications by the beginning of August for the fall school. Applications sent afterward will not be disqualified.
Placement video/portfolio & Artistic Reference must be submitted for consideration to the Creative Arts in Worship DTS. This is not an audition, it is simply for the purpose of finding out where you will best fit into our program. If visual art is your desired emphasis, please send in a portfolio of (copies of) some of your work. If theatre, dance, or music is your desired emphasis, please send us a video of your best piece. Please note that these will NOT be returned to you.
DTS Fees:
$35 application fee must be paid in order to be considered for acceptance.
The lecture/school fee:
$3800 for Classic DTS (5 months)
$4200 for Creative Arts in Worship DTS (6 months)
Lecture fees should be paid upon arrival or prior to school beginning.
The outreach fee:
$3800 (depending on outreach destination) will be due in its entirety before departure for the trip. However half is usually needed to secure airline tickets and will be due about a month into the school. Let's trust God together for His faithfulness in provision.
Visas:
International students need to apply for a 6 month B-1 Tourist Visa with multiple entries. We can provide a letter of reference for you if needed. You will need to have a current, valid passport. Be sure it is valid 6 months beyond your school.
