Jessi Welsh

Jessi Welsh is originally from West Mifflin, PA. She began her involvement in missions on a trip to Mexico when she was thirteen. Her involvement with YWAM began shortly after with a summer trip as a part of Joshua Generation taking trips to various places in the US, Hungary, Romania, and Brazil.

She also began leading worship at the young age of 14 and since it has become one of her biggest passions.

Upon graduating high school in 2002 she attended DTS in Salem, Oregon. Her outreach took her to India, South Korea, and Thailand. She then returned back to the Pittsburgh area to join YWAM staff. She served there as worship leader, performing arts director, Joshua Generation staff, DTS staff, member of the GO Team, and served on the leadership council. She has been a missionary in 17 nations.

Moving to Boston to be a part of building the Kingdom of God has been a dream in her heart since her first visit to the city in 2003. She looks forward to joining alongside the body of Christ in training and ministry, and using her talents in the arts to bring people to Jesus.

Jeremy and Kandia Tunney

Jeremy's missions experience began as a child, and some of his earliest memories include talking to people about the love of Jesus with his dad.  He has been on every Joshua Generation trip since its start in 1995. He completed a DTS in February of 2004 through YWAM Pittsburgh, and served on staff there for two and a half years before moving to Boston.

Throughout his life, Jeremy has known that the Lord had a great call and purposes for his life.  Even when tempted with earthly riches and "successful jobs," he knew in his heart that serving Jesus with his life is the only thing that would ever bring him peace and fulfillment.  He is blessed to have served Jesus in 11 nations.

Kandia heard the call of God to missions at a youth conference during her senior year in High School, and began seeking out ways to be trained for ministry.  She attended Radford University near her hometown of Dublin, VA for one year before transferring to Belhaven College in Jackson, MS where she graduated in May 2003 with a BA in Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries and a Minor in Dance.

Kandia was involved in various missions opportunities and ministry internships throughout her college career.  She attended a Performing Arts DTS at YWAM Metro NY immediately upon graduating from Belhaven.  After DTS, she spent the summer volunteering with Joshua Generation at YWAM Pittsburgh, wherein she and Jeremy met, and their relationship began.  She joined the staff of YWAM Pittsburgh that September (2004) and she and Jeremy were engaged and married in the fall of 2005.  Kandia's missions experience has taken her to 8 nations.

As a couple, Jeremy and Kandia are thrilled to be serving Jesus together, using their unique gifts and talents as a team to bring Glory to Him.  They see this opportunity to begin the work in Boston as an extremely influential season in their life and ministry, and are believing God for amazing experiences and lessons learned in the coming years.

Jessica Kopacz

Jessica was born and raised in Southern New Hampshire. She never thought that missions would be part of her life.

In her mid-teens she had the opportunity to be trained for children's ministry through Child Evangelism Fellowship. It was there that the Lord  started to speak to her softly about missions. She looks back and see that Lord was using the children's ministry training to open the next door in her life and to also be better equipped to minister to children even still now.

Jessica went down to Pittsburgh, PA to help them with the Joshua Generation that they run in the summers. It was there that she learned about Discipleship Training School. She know that, that was something the Lord was calling her to do. She moved down to Pittsburgh's the following January. On her school's outreach she went to Poland, Romania, & Hungary. She graduated and came right on board as full time staff with YWAM.

That following fall she helped staff the Discipleship Training School. It was time for her to step up into a new level of leadership. When that school finished she went back to full time staff. Her heart is still for children. But she also has a heart to nurture people of any age.

Jessica works as an administrative assistant to the director and helps to coordinate the Joshua Generation ministry for teens.
