Create with a Purpose.
What it is
Creative Arts in Worship DTS is a 5-month discipleship training course where you will be challenged to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord and gain the opportunity to use your artistic abilities to share the Gospel with others. Actors, musicians, visual artists, dancers, and photographers help us to redeem the arts back to God!
The school is broken up into two phases. The first part of the school is three months in Boston, followed by a 2-month outreach.
There is nothing more fulfilling than getting to know God and seeing Him use your life to touch the lives of others!
Our vision is to raise up a generation of artists who are passionate about using their gifts to worship God and reach the lost. We live to be empowered by the Holy Spirit as we grow in our faith and share the Gospel with individuals all across the world. We believe that God is on the move now more than ever and we want you to be a part of it!
Join the Family
Build community with many other individuals who are like-minded with passion for the arts and desire a relationship with the Lord! Our desire is to operate as a family, and we place priority in building relationships. Join us and become an integral part of our YWAM Boston family!
During the lecture phase, our students learn from a different visiting teacher each week. Our teachers are required to have life experience in the topic they cover. We have an integrated schedule with 12 lecture hours per week focused on our core DTS curriculum, including:
Nature and Character of God, Evangelism, Identity in Christ, Intercession, Healthy Relationships, World Missions, Etc.
Lecture content will be supplemented by times of group intercession, worship, and an art class of your choosing.
Our afternoons during lecture phase are spent in classes tailored to your individual artistic abilities. We offer classes for music, dance, drama, photography/videography, and art. These classes are not only here to help you grow in your ability, but to teach you to use these passions for the Kingdom of God.
All of our artistic efforts will be pulled together to present an original production we have written called “Encounter”. This production will be our primary tool for evangelism on our outreach.
After 3 months of transformation in Boston, we will travel across the U.S. with our original production, Encounter.
Encounter is a multi-faceted artistic worship experience, immersing the viewer in the story of God. Starting before creation and ending with the resurrection, our hope is that every person that sees this drama would find their place in God’s story and give their lives to Him.
We connect with churches, ministries and schools across our nation to come and perform and minister.
